Abdominoplasty / Tummy Tuck Surgery Video

Author: DrFoleyinOlympia
Description: This shows a full Abdominoplasty surgery performed by Dr. Art Foley in Olympia Washington. Abdominoplasty is also commonly referred to as a "Tummy Tuck." Tummy tuck is a surgical procedure also known as abdominoplasty to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. The procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen. But bear in mind, it does produce a permanent scar. Visit www.DrFoley.com for more information. I really need this done. It didn't even put me off eatin g my pizza!

Well it must be ok... otherwise they wouldn't do it

is it healthy for the pencil to be marked on the insides? it doesn't look like it!

I threw up. That really gotta hurt bad. I cant be a doctor for life.

how painful is this afterwords?

hey! February 23! thats my bro's birthday! However, I still think it looks so disgusting. so anyway, good luck on the operations, Frankenstein monsters!

HiIam having mine in feb. too on the 23rd. it has been a long time coming. i find the video very interesting. good luck with yours

im actually going for a tummytuck in Feb 09 and i have no problem looking at these videos..they are actually very helpful to know the exact procedure and step they will be performing on me. I guess being an EMT helps a lot..lol

Yeah, im sure I still would have went through with it even if I had seen these videos. I'm one of the small percent of men that actually get this done & then talk about it (19) lost over 100 pounds about two years ago. This was my first surgery, first week was bad but I didn't once question if I made the right decision & I feel so much better about myself. You forget about the pain you were in after its over, 5 weeks post so far and everythings looking great

I guess so!!! after all you are nothing but a number to them. and I mean a "room number". Did u see how he separated the skin from muscle. MAN! what if that thing just ...stabbed u!!!

If u saw this video before u had the procedure would u go through with it? and thank u for the encouraging feedback

Aye.. I wonder if they let the patient watch this afterwards and see her skin cut open like that... wow. They make it look like such an easy procedure.. I enjoy the music, lol

Very clean procedure. You would be surprised how little blood there can be. Heavier bleeding comes from Veins and Arteries, which usually they avoid if it is possible (Arteries are avoided at all costs). Also it depends from the persons body's ability to coagulate which varies from person to person and if the area is highly vascular. They do not go into the cavity of the body either so there is much less bleeding. The tool at the beginning was used as a spatula to separate skin from tissue.

The stuff he puts in before he starts stops it from bleeding. They also cauderize it

i dont get how there is no blood?very weird to me can someone please explain?

I had a tummy tuck about 3 weeks ago, everything came out perfect & I left the hospital the same day.. actually about 2 hours after surgery, scar is healing up well and strongly suggest this to anyone that feels uneasy about themselves. I didn't watch exactly how it was done before the surgery because i was afraid I might change my mind, I'm so glad i stuck with it though!!

I had a tuck in Thailand (Yanhee Hospital) three weeks ago and walked out of the hospital three days later. I am glad I didn't see the video first. It would have put me off. Strange feeling though. It is as if I am nine months pregnant. I guess things have moved around. Didn't even require pain relief afterwards.

actually, retaining some body mass, like a mix of muscle and some fat, helps give skin better support.

I dont know if this encourages or discourages me to get a tummy tuck. I lost about 80lbs over the last year and I too have loose skin in the abdominal area. But that procedure looks like it requires a good doctor. What happens if the doctor sucks. Couldnt he or she screw you up bigtime? =)

I just had a tummy tuck, and i find that i had pain more when i had a c-section and my 3 children than a tummy tuck. Sometimes we have no choice and if we can fix it and feel good about ourselves than it's worth. Better than getting fake boobs because you want to look like a Barbie.
